Meet Lisa Hathorn

LISA HATHORN

Lisa has a background in television production. She was the Executive Producer for Seven’s New Media Division from 2000 to 2009. Commissioned to design and launch the Seven Network’s national digital/online presence, with oversight of the network’s entertainment, this included the long-lasting television drama Home and Away, lifestyle programming, 24 hour Seven News and Seven News breakfast properties.

Lisa left the network to have a family and develop her own projects including an online animated educational series Brainstop.

Her first ever children’s book No! Never! (Hachette Australia) a cautionary tale was the 2021 Children’s Book Council of Australia’s Early Childhood Book of the Year.

Lisa is now founder and Executive of Lisa Hathorn Productions, a multi-media house, with a passionate advocacy for universal literacy and quality entertainment. She believes literature and quality television can promote peace, and is integral in deeper understanding of ourselves and others. Lisa lives, writes and produces in Sydney with her two daughters.
